Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) require that at least 10% of the total enrollment must be children with disabilities and an Individual Education Plan/Individualized Family Service Plan (IEP/IFSP.) CSP Head Start children with disabilities comprise 12% of total enrollment, surpassing national guidelines.

Disabilities support includes:

(1) Effective transitions for children with special needs from preschool to kindergarten.

(2) Participation in activities and routines through adaptive, assistive technologies and interventions, as well as parent-to-parent support.
